Why choose business support services?
Simply put, I’ll do the work on your to-do list so you don’t have to. That leaves you free to do the important things like meetings, securing clients, whatever you need to do. Leaving the behind-the-scenes work to someone else is a great way to optimise your time.
Bringing me in as an outsource means you only need to pay for the work that’s done – no full time salary, no recruitment costs, nothing. You pay for the work as and when you need it. It could be a one-off whilst you’re busy with a new project, or maybe there are some small monthly tasks you need to delegate.
As I’m based virtually in my own place, you don’t need to worry about finding room for temporary resource. I’m available by email and phone whenever you need me. Other than that, you can rest assured I’m getting on with the work as agreed and will have it back to you when you need it.
What can I help you with?
Now you’ve been hooked in with promises of virtual, as-and-when business support, let me tell you a bit more about what I can do for you.
Blog posts and copywriting
I’m a blogger by night (and sometimes day). My own blog, Seeds in the Wasteland, focuses on mental health and veganism, two pretty big parts of my life. My articles have been featured on I am One in Four and The Mighty, and writing a blog for myself has given me direction and purpose.
I also work as a copywriter for an agency, working with a shedload of different brands to create engaging online content for their blogs. I’ve written about lighting, staircases, railings, and energy-efficient construction to name but a few.
For you, this means I’m well-versed in writing friendly copy that serves a purpose. I can make your readers interested and want to learn more about your services or products whilst keeping a respectful eye on SEO. You want copy that actually converts, and I know how to properly research topics, link to your content and high-quality exterior content, and write a killer call to action.
Experience being a writer gives me good skills for proofreading and editing, as well, so if you’ve written some of your own content I can look over it and make the important tweaks needed to convert your words into action.
Reports and white papers
Writing your reports can seem like a mountainous task. Thankfully, from my years working in quality assurance I’m a dab hand at writing up reports from audits, financial activity reports, and everything in between.
My experience includes monthly financial reports, validation activity reports, audit reports, and attendance reports. I can use your qualitative and quantitaive data to draw meaningful conclusions and get them down on paper. This allows you to easily look over performance and progress in a format that makes sense.
Your reports can be written up in whatever style you need – plain text, or with appropriate visuals to support the content. Whichever way you choose, I guarantee it will be succinct, clear, and professional.
As a blogger I’m fairly used to using social media platforms to bring attention to my work and engage with likeminded people. If you need a hand getting your name out there, I’m happy to assist with social media posts and even graphics to create a strong brand for you.
As part of my blogging work I post regularly on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. I also volunteer some of my spare time to create Pinterest graphics for I am One in Four, a website that collects and publishes mental health stories.
Your voice is important, so make sure someone has the time to get it heard.
Have you amassed a large data set from a project and not sure where to turn? Often, data needs inputting into a variety of systems or formats, as well as being manipulated into something that makes sense.
I’m a dab hand with Excel, and can input and organise data in a way that’s right for you. From my experience writing reports, I can analyse your data and draw conclusions, or drill down further to pull out the information you need.
There aren’t always resources to input or go through data with the necessary fine-toothed comb, so consider outsourcing it to leave you and your colleagues free to get on with the larger tasks.
You don’t always have time for the little, in-between tasks that need catching up on. Answering emails, drafting letters, putting together invoices, trackers, and other spreadsheets. If there are any day to day admin tasks that have fallen by the wayside, send them my way and I’ll get you back on track.
Even financial tasks like reviewing expense claims or invoices or other financial evidence; I’ve worked in finance offices for significant portions of my career, so don’t be afraid to ask if you need the help.
No task is too small, and you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that thing you always intended but never found the time to do is being taken care of.
Well, if it sounds like you might benefit from my business support services, you can look at my CV and portfolio as well as client testimonials to see for yourself how we can work together.
Of course, this list isn’t exhaustive. If you’re not sure whether I can help, the best thing to do is contact me and we can take it from there. Together we can make your business run like a dream, so don’t hesitate to take the next step and get in touch today.
